Nothing Breeds Success, Like Success
Jim Tran came to me for private lessons to improve his fighting skills and to get in shape. He had a background in Vietnamese Kung Fu, MMA, and BJJ under Ryan Hall. Jim possessed above average strength, endurance, and coordination for someone weighing 242 lbs, but his greatest asset was his consistent practice outside of class.
Unlike many who rely solely on their lessons for skill acquisition and results, Jim dilligently trained between his private classes. His results were nothing short of remarkable given his busy travel schedule which took him abroad every few weeks.
Practicing outside of class permits you to return to class primed for additional corrections and further knowledge. Failure to so only delays continual growth.
Some folks confuse attending a class/workshop/seminar with actual learning. Skills and results cannot be learned, but can only be acquired through consistent and dilligent practice. When a teacher shows you something, he is merely introducing a new concept to you. The introduction is not the concept itself but will permit its understanding to take shape. Yet, I know many who will regurgitate an introduction as if it were the lesson itself.
Water boils when it boils.
Today, my student Jim stands shredded at 212 lbs, and is completely transformed from the inside and out. He came seeking only to improve his fighting skills, and has discovered how to improve his quality of life, professional and personal relationships. Martial arts is not only for fighting, but for living a healthy, happy and productive life.
Through simplified, corrective and actionable internal and external exercises, you can develop controlled and efficient movement which will substantially affect your performance and help you attain your goals. Nothing breeds success and inspires hard work like compelling results.
I hope you’ll be inspired by Jim’s transformation. Dropping three pants size, while becoming a more humble and grateful person in the process is a sweet deal!
Enjoy your Paths!
